It is an extraordinary experience to hear three of the nine instruments belonging to the Instrument Foundation being played on the same evening\u201c, said the Instrument Foundation board member Marje Lohuaru.<\/p>\n<p>The musicians performing were the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre lector Johanna Vaherm\u00e4gi on a 17th century viola, the cellist Valle-Rasmus Roots on a cello built in 1904 by the master Celeste Farotti in Milan and Theodor Sink, ENSO\u2019s principal cellist on an instrument built in 1842 by the French master Auguste S\u00e9bastien Bernardeli (P\u00e8re).<\/p>\n<p>Maivi Kaljuvee, the owner of the 114 year old cello built in Italy said: \u201eIt is a great honour to own a rare instrument, more than one hundred years old, built by a master, but it is an even greater honour to hear a talented musician playing the instrument on the world\u2019s largest concert halls and now for the first time in Rakvere.\u201c<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 23rd the musically inclined had a rare opportunity to listen to a string instrument concert with performers using the Instrument Foundation\u2019s historical instruments in the white hall of Rakvere\u2019s municipal government building.
