The instrument gives the violinist the opportunity to successfully perform on the world level and give classical music admirers extraordinary experiences\u201c said the Instrument Foundation Board Member Marje Lohuaru.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eThe family legend says that when the grandfather was offered the opportunity to buy the instrument while on tour in Moscow, Boba managed to loan the required money from top Soviet Union musicians within one day. David Oistrahh, another famous violinist heard about the deal the next day and tried to persuade the master selling the violin to take back the deal and sell the instrument to him instead. Grandfather Boba remained as the instrument\u2019s owner as the deal was complete \u2013 the money had been paid\u201c explained Vladimir Sapo\u017enin how the instrument reached the family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 17th century precious and legendary violin belonging to the Sapo\u017enin family was added to the Instrument Foundation\u2019s collection. The instrument was used by the Estonian violinist Vladimir \u201eBoba\u201c Sapo\u017enin throughout his long career. The instrument is one of the most expensive instruments in the Instrument Foundation\u2019s collection.
