The Instrument Foundation’s statute for Instrument Use
- The Estonian Foundation of Musical Instruments (hereafter Instrument Foundation) accepts applications for using musical instruments (hereafter Instrument) from all Estonian citizens who have a degree in the appropriate field (violin, viola, cello) or are currently studying in an internationally recognised (accredited) music educational institution.
- The application documents must consist of the previous two year’s creative achievement descriptions and the plans for the next two years together with a field specific CV and recommendation letters from two internationally recognised specialists in the same field.
- The use of the Instrument is decided by the Instrument Foundation’s expect council whose members are not made public.
- The expert council gives its proposal to the Instrument Foundation’s council whose decision is final and not subject to dispute.
- A contract is signed between the Instrument Foundation and the Instrument’s user concerning the Instrument’s use. Using the Instrument takes place according to the Instrument Foundation’s Instrument use procedures.
- The Instrument Foundation may announce a competition, if there are more than five applications for an Instrument. The terms of the competition will be specified by the Instrument Foundation.
- Exceptions to current terms of the statute are only allowed with the unanimous, motivated decision of the Instrument Foundation’s board, council members and expert council.
